Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, wine, beer, and specialty drinks, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
- Engage with guests to understand their preferences and recommend beverages that enhance their experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
- Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process orders accurately and efficiently.
- Develop new beverage recipes and suggest drink pairings to elevate the guest experience.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities.
- Monitor inventory levels, restock supplies, and place orders to ensure the bar is well-stocked at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bartender in fine dining or high-volume hospitality settings; experience with catering or banquet service is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of beverage recipes, cocktail techniques, wine varieties, craft beers, and brewing processes.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally.
- Demonstrated time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures in a food industry environment.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, retail math calculations, and measuring ingredients.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced setting.
- Prior experience in restaurant or retail food service environments is highly desirable; fine dining experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of beverage recipe development and wine knowledge to enhance drink offerings.
