The Role: Specialty Float RVT
We are seeking a skilled and versatile RVT to join our foundational team in a "floating" capacity. In this dynamic role, you will provide critical technical support across multiple advanced services, ensuring seamless care and collaboration. This position is ideal for a technician who thrives on variety, loves to learn, and wants to practice exceptional medicine alongside board-certified experts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Rotate and float between Internal Medicine, Oncology, and Anesthesia services based on hospital workflow.
- Monitor and manage anesthesia cases under the direct guidance of our board-certified veterinary anesthesiologist (DACVAA) for advanced diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Safely operate our brand-new, state-of-the-art GE CT machine to perform and process diagnostic scans.
- Assist our IM and Oncology specialists with complex casework, advanced diagnostic imaging, and specialty treatments.
- Maintain accurate medical records, calculate dosages, and deliver compassionate nursing care to patients.
Experience & Qualifications:
License: Current California Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license required.
Experience: 1+ years in veterinary specialty medicine or advanced general practice preferred.
Technical Skills: Broad and comprehensive RVT technical skills, including advanced venipuncture, nursing care, and multi-service adaptability. Prior CT operation experience is a plus, but we are fully willing to train you on our new GE equipment.
