Job Title: Occupational Therapist – Acute Care Hospital
Location: Lafayette, IN, United States

Shift: Day Shift (5x8) | Monday–Friday + 1 weekend day/month
Duration: 13 Weeks
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to provide acute care rehabilitation services in a hospital setting. The OT will evaluate, treat, and manage patients across multiple acuity levels, supporting functional recovery and safe discharge planning.
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
- Provide therapy for patients in ICU, progressive care, and acute units
- Deliver ADL training, therapeutic exercises, and functional mobility interventions
- Assess patient progress and update plan of care regularly
- Recommend appropriate discharge disposition based on patient status
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams including physicians and nurses
- Document evaluations, treatments, and progress notes accurately
- Educate patients and families on rehabilitation techniques and recovery goals
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety standards
- Manage care for conditions such as stroke, TBI, cardiac surgery recovery, fractures, and neurological disorders
- Active Occupational Therapist License (Indiana)
- NBCOT Certification required
- Minimum 1 year of acute care hospital OT experience
- BLS certification required
- Strong clinical reasoning and patient management skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced inpatient environments
- Experience with Cerner EMR
- Manual therapy experience
- Lymphedema certification
