We're looking for a dependable Health and Safety Specialist to help promote a safe, compliant, and productive work environment across MPW operations. In this role, you'll partner with employees, leadership, and customers to implement safety programs, support regulatory compliance, investigate incidents, and drive continuous improvement in workplace health and safety.

What You'll Do
- Support and enforce company health and safety policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance.
- Review and evaluate existing safety programs and recommend improvements to increase effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain task-specific Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) for facility operations.
- Assist with accident and incident investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Analyze and distribute safety and loss data to identify trends, reduce risk, and improve performance.
- Conduct routine health and safety audits to identify unsafe acts and hazardous conditions.
- Partner with management to identify and correct loss-producing exposures.
- Train employees on safe work practices and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Support compliance with Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space Entry, Fall Protection, High Pressure Water Blasting, Wet and Dry Vacuuming, and Air Contaminant exposure requirements.
- Plan, organize, and facilitate toolbox talks, tailgate meetings, and other safety training sessions.
- Ensure required safety training and documentation are completed accurately and maintained.
- Coordinate and monitor work standard development with operations and management teams.
- Build positive working relationships with customer site personnel to ensure compliance with MPW and customer safety requirements.
- Assist with action plans that improve quality, reduce risk, and minimize operational losses.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental and company objectives.
What You'll Need
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred.
- One to three years of Environmental Health & Safety experience or equivalent industrial cleaning experience.
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety best practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to travel as required.
