Responsibilities
- Assist with surface preparation tasks including cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure optimal coating adhesion.
- Support the application of floor coatings using various methods such as hand tools, grinders, etc.
- Help with mixing paints, primers, and sealers according to project specifications while adhering to safety regulations.
- Prepare construction sites by protecting surrounding areas and organizing tools and materials for efficient workflow.
- Follow technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure precise application of coatings on floors and surfaces.
- Maintain a clean work environment by disposing of waste properly and storing tools securely after each shift.
- Observe all safety protocols including the use of respiratory protection, personal protective equipment (PPE), and adherence to OSHA standards.
Experience
- Previous experience in construction painting or renovation projects is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, spray equipment, and surface preparation techniques is advantageous.
- Knowledge of construction site safety regulations and proper use of respiratory protection enhances your suitability for this role.
- Basic math skills for measuring materials and interpreting technical drawings are beneficial.
- Experience in related trades such as carpentry, plastering, masonry, or restoration work will support your success in this position.
- Demonstrated ability to follow schematics, blueprints, or technical instructions accurately is highly valued.
