Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and work areas.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service.
- Assist in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary.
- Adhere to proper food handling techniques to ensure quality and safety.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and safety practices.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Cook or in a similar culinary role is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
- Familiarity with fine dining concepts is a plus, along with experience in restaurant settings.
- Strong culinary skills with the ability to prepare diverse cuisines.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- A passion for cooking and a desire to continually improve culinary skills.
