Job Overview
The Front Desk Medical Receptionist will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring smooth clinic operations through efficient administrative support. This role involves managing patient appointments, handling medical records, and providing excellent customer service while maintaining strict adherence to confidentiality and healthcare regulations.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and professionally, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Schedule appointments accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records)
- Knowledge of insurance, deductibles and co-pays
- Collect payments and co-pays based on individual plans while maintaining compliance with HIPAA and other confidentiality policies.
- Manage patient records by filing, updating, and reviewing documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Answer phone calls promptly with professional phone etiquette, providing information or directing inquiries appropriately.
- Support clinical staff by handling administrative tasks.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
- Coordinate care and communication between patients and providers.
- Maintain an organized and efficient front desk while ensuring HIPPA compliance.
- Skills
- Proven experience in medical office administration within a clinic setting, preferably in physical therapy, chiropractic or medical office
- Strong knowledge of EMR/EHR systems
- Familiarity with medical health insurance and personal injury procedures preferred
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and 10-key typing.
- Exceptional customer service skills combined with effective phone communication and office management abilities.
- Ability to handle medical records securely while adhering to HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies.
- Bilingual abilities are a MUST to serve diverse patient populations effectively.

Pay: $15.00 - $50.00 per hour
