Position Overview
The Cook is responsible for preparation of tasty, appealing, high-quality foods for residents, employees and guests while maintaining high standards of quality and sanitary food preparation. While also providing great customer service to our residents, employees and guests.
Qualifications & Job Standards
- Serve safe certification required
- High school grad or equivalent
- Health Center experience preferred
- Experience with texture modified and therapeutic diet
- At least two years of experience or large order cooking
- Knowledge of institutional kitchen appliances
- Ability to read, write and speak English and perform basic mathematics
- Ability to follow written and oral instruction
- Good customer service skills
- Prior experience in institutional food service operation preferred
- Good personal hygiene
