Overview
The Vocational Training Supervisor plays a key role in empowering individuals with disabilities and other employment barriers to build skills, gain confidence, and thrive in the community. This position oversees daily operations of the CVS Mock Store, supports hands‑on learning in the PAES Lab, and provides individualized vocational counseling and assessments. The Supervisor ensures high‑quality training experiences, models excellent customer service, and leads staff in delivering innovative, person‑centered vocational rehabilitation services.

Responsibilities
- Program & Training Leadership
- Oversee daily operations of the CVS Mock Store, ensuring a realistic, safe, and engaging retail training environment.
Supervision & Staff Development
- Provide leadership, coaching, and support to job coaches and training staff.
- Train employees on best practices in vocational rehabilitation, disability inclusion, and retail‑based skill development.
- Model effective communication, problem‑solving, and customer service strategies.
- Foster a collaborative, positive, and mission‑driven team culture.
Retail & Community Integration
- Apply retail experience to teach workplace expectations, customer service, inventory management, merchandising, and point‑of‑sale procedures.
- Build relationships with local employers to support community‑based training and employment opportunities.
- Demonstrate how individuals with disabilities add value to the workplace through strengths‑based coaching and advocacy.
Participant Support & Documentation
- Conduct vocational assessments, interest inventories, and skill evaluations.
- Track participant progress, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure compliance with program standards.
- Identify workplace supports and accommodations that promote immediate employment success rather than “getting ready” indefinitely.
- Facilitate PAES Lab activities, support skill development across multiple vocational domains.
- Deliver 1:1 vocational counseling, career exploration, and employment readiness assessments.
- Develop individualized training plans aligned with participant strengths, interests, and employment goals.
- Maintain high standards of instructional quality, engagement, and accessibility.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of college (Associate degree preferred).
- 4+ years of retail experience required; supervisory experience strongly preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred but not required.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills.
- Innovative thinker with the ability to motivate and engage diverse learners.
- Ability to train staff and participants in both structured and hands‑on learning environments.
- Commitment to the mission of vocational rehabilitation and community inclusion.
Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
