Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Piano Teacher to join our travel teaching academy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in music, particularly in piano instruction, and a genuine love for teaching students of all ages, especially beginners. We look for candidates who teach beyond "just for fun" lessons and will be in the driver seat for students. Must be able to commute to Brentwood, Franklin, and Nolensville, TN. Monday-Friday Availability 3pm-7pm preferred. Homeschool hours are often requested. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator. He or she must "close sales" with perspective clients in a timely manner and communicate regularly with the studio owner.
Responsibilities
- Drive to students' homes for lessons. A reliable vehicle is required.
- Communicate well and timely with parents the expectations and coordinate scheduling.
- Communicate in a timely manner to the studio owner.
- Develop and implement sequential lesson plans tailored to each student's skill level and learning style.
- Teach fundamental piano techniques, music theory, and sight-reading skills.
- Foster a supportive and encouraging atmosphere that promotes student growth and confidence.
- Prepare students for recitals.
- Participate in continued education to learn new teaching methods, curriculum development, and advancements in music education.
Experience
Candidates should possess some or all of the following qualifications:
- Proven experience in teaching piano or music education is preferred.
- A degree in music is desired, but not required.
- Skills in curriculum development to create effective lesson plans.
- A desire to teach piano.
