Job Summary
As a Host, you will be the vibrant face of our establishment, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience from the moment guests walk through our doors. Your warm welcome and attentive service will create an inviting atmosphere that keeps customers coming back. You’ll manage reservations, greet guests with enthusiasm, and ensure smooth seating arrangements while collaborating closely with the restaurant team to deliver outstanding hospitality.
What you’ll do
- Greet and seat guests promptly, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently to optimize seating flow.
- Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to coordinate guest needs.
- Provide information about menu items and daily specials to enhance guest experience.
- Handle guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism and a friendly demeanor.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host area to create a welcoming environment.
- Assist in training new hosts on best practices in guest relations and service standards.
- Utilize Point of Sale (POS) systems, including Aloha POS and Micros POS, for order processing.
Basic qualifications
- Previous host/host experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a passion for delivering exceptional experiences.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in food service or restaurant operations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with guest services principles and practices.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of phone etiquette for handling reservations and inquiries.
