Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Low-Voltage Service Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of low-voltage systems, including telecommunications, networking, security, and audiovisual systems. Duties
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot low-voltage systems such as CCTV, fiber optic networks, structured cabling, Ethernet, VoIP telephony, Cisco routers, Juniper equipment, and radio frequency (RF) testing devices.
- Perform fiber splicing and fiber optic systems installation to ensure high-quality data transmission.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical diagrams, and network wiring plans to accurately execute installations and repairs.
- Conduct diagnostics using specialized tools like ohmmeters, telecommunications testing equipment, and diagnostic software to identify issues quickly.
- Terminate cables including Cat5, Cat6, and other structured cabling types; ensure proper cable management and adherence to industry standards.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures in telecommunication systems and perform necessary repairs or replacements with precision.
- Assist in network installation projects involving computer hardware setup, network wiring, equipment repair, and system upgrades.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining technical issues clearly and ensuring client satisfaction throughout all phases of service delivery.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including service reports and system configurations for future reference.
Experience
- Proven experience working as a Low-Voltage Service Technician or in a similar field service role within telecommunications or networking industries.
- Strong knowledge of low-voltage electrical wiring systems including AC/DC electrical systems and structured cabling installation.
- Hands-on experience with fiber splicing, fiber optic systems installation, and telecommunication testing equipment.
- Familiarity with computer networking concepts such as LAN/WAN configurations, Ethernet protocols, Cisco routers, Juniper devices, VoIP technology, and network wiring standards.
- Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams accurately; experience with communication system installation is highly preferred.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, diagnostic tools like ohmmeters or network analyzers for troubleshooting purposes.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to clients of varying technical backgrounds.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
