Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be essential in supporting the kitchen’s daily operations by preparing ingredients, assisting with meal assembly, and ensuring that food safety standards are upheld. The ideal candidate is passionate about food, enjoys working in a team environment, and is eager to develop their culinary skills. This is also an all hands on deck position, you will b taking orders as well. You must have some experience in customer service. This position offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in food preparation and kitchen management while contributing to a positive dining experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing ingredients and components for menu items, following established recipes and portion guidelines.

- Support food preparation tasks such as slicing, chopping, and assembling dishes with precision and attention to detail.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment in compliance with health and safety standards.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, slicers, and other culinary tools.
- Follow food handling procedures to ensure proper storage, sanitation, and food safety management throughout all stages of preparation.
- Help with meal assembly and plating to ensure timely service during busy periods or catering events.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is a plus; restaurant or food service experience is highly valued.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, handling practices, and hygiene regulations.
- Skills in knife techniques, slicing methods, and general food preparation are essential.
- Familiarity with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal presentation.
- Ability to operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong communication skills for effective teamwork within the kitchen environment.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn new culinary techniques and contribute positively to the team.
