Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Personal injury case manager. In this role, you will be responsible for thoroughly reviewing case files, investigating liability, assessing damages, coordinating medical care, and negotiating fair and efficient settlements.
You will serve as a critical link between clients, medical providers, and the legal team—ensuring claims are evaluated with accuracy, compassion, and professionalism. If you excel in complex case management and thrive in a fast-paced legal environment, we want to meet you.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, evaluate, and manage personal injury case files from initial intake through resolution.
- Investigate and verify claims, including liability analysis, injury causation, damages assessment, and policy coverage.
- Coordinate medical treatment and care, including communication with clients, providers, and insurance carriers.
- Analyze medical documentation, bills, and records to determine case value and appropriate settlement ranges.
- Prepare and file claims with insurance carriers, track claim progress, and ensure timely follow-up.
- Negotiate settlements with insurance adjusters, defense counsel, and third parties.
- Identify red flags, coverage issues, and potential litigation risks to support legal strategy.
- Maintain detailed case notes, documentation, and compliance with laws, regulations, and internal procedures.
- Deliver excellent client service by communicating proactively and addressing concerns with empathy and clarity.
- Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and medical providers to advance case resolution and improve client outcomes.
Basic Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience handling personal injury claims.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a high-volume caseload.
- Advanced analytical and case evaluation skills for reviewing evidence, medical records, and liability issues.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
- Proficiency in claims management systems and digital documentation workflows.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience in insurance negotiation, settlement negotiations, or legal claim valuation.
- Experience coordinating personal injury medical care, including communication with treating providers.
- Background in customer service with a strong emphasis on communication, empathy, and problem-solving.
- Knowledge of insurance regulations, personal injury law, and claim valuation methodologies.
- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) a plus.
