The University of Findlay (www.findlay.edu) is seeking a full-time clinical mental health counselor, responsible to provide quality mental health services to a college student population through individual, couple, and group counseling, crisis intervention, and consultation, including ethical/legal documentation, treatment planning, and diagnostic assessments as appropriate. This position will also be responsible for assisting with outreach education and prevention efforts to the UF community.
A Master’s degree in a mental health profession (i.e., counseling, clinical/counseling psychology, clinical social work, marriage and family therapy) from accredited graduate program and licensed to practice as a mental health professional in the state of Ohio. Preference given to candidates possessing experience with mental health services in a college or university counseling center and a passion for working with college students; knowledge of and experience providing a broad range of psychotherapy and counseling methods within a time-limited scope of service; clinical training/skills in evidenced-based short-term modalities; excellent crisis intervention skills; excellent oral and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills; ability to be relevant and creative with outreach efforts; and candidates must possess a collaborative spirit, be enthusiastic about service-delivery to college student population and be team oriented.
