This role offers the opportunity to work with individuals through assessment, treatment planning, individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and ongoing therapeutic support. What You'll Do
As a Behavioral Health Clinician, you will:
- Complete psychiatric diagnostic evaluations using DSM-5 and ICD-10 criteria.
- Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments and determine appropriate treatment recommendations.
- Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients.
- Provide individual, family, and group therapy using evidence-based counseling techniques.
- Deliver Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS), Community Psychiatric Supportive Treatment (CPST), and crisis psychotherapy when clinically appropriate.
- Assist with intake documentation, including assessments, releases of information, and treatment consents.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant electronic health records.
- Monitor client progress and regularly review and update treatment plans.
- Coordinate referrals and communicate treatment recommendations with appropriate providers and staff.
- Provide mental health and/or substance use disorder treatment to adults, adolescents, and children (where applicable).
- Provide coverage for behavioral health services based on clinical expertise and organizational needs.
- Maintain confidentiality while adhering to all applicable regulations, agency policies, and ethical standards.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree
- Current Ohio LSW or LPC license in good standing
Preferred:
- Master's degree
- Current Ohio LSW or LPC license
Ideal candidates will also have:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of behavioral health documentation requirements and confidentiality regulations
- Commitment to ethical practice and the Counselor's Code of Ethics
- A positive, recovery-focused approach to working with individuals experiencing mental health and substance use disorders
- Ability to work collaboratively with clients, coworkers, community partners, and multidisciplinary teams
