Bourne Group specializes in Design, Manufacturing and Installation of Interior products and signage for both the Cruise Industry as well as land based developments.
Overview of Role:
The Account Manager is responsible for ensuring a seamless experience for clients from initial inquiry through project completion. This role serves as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, coordinating communication between clients and internal teams while driving accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
The Account Manager's primary objective is to ensure that no opportunity, task, or project falls through the cracks. They are responsible for maintaining momentum, coordinating resources, and ensuring projects remain on schedule from quotation to final installation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring all inquiries and requests are responded to promptly and professionally.
- Coordinate with the design team to ensure estimates and proposals are prepared accurately and delivered to clients within required timeframes.
- Proactively follow up on outstanding quotations to determine project status and secure awards whenever possible.
- Ensure purchase orders are received, reviewed, and processed before project commencement.
- Coordinate the successful handoff of awarded projects into Bourne Group's internal systems for engineering, production, procurement, scheduling, and installation.
- Monitor project progress from start to finish, ensuring each department understands its responsibilities and meets required deadlines.
- Maintain regular communication with design, production, logistics, and installation teams to ensure projects remain on schedule.
- Identify potential delays, issues, or communication gaps early and coordinate corrective action before they impact the client.
- Keep clients informed of project status, schedules, and any changes throughout the execution of the project.
- Ensure all internal documentation, approvals, and project records are complete and accurate.
- Work closely with leadership to prioritize workload and resolve project challenges.

While they may not directly manage production or installation, they are responsible for ensuring everyone involved remains aligned, informed, and accountable.
This role is best described as an operational quarterback keeping projects moving forward, maintaining clear communication, and ensuring that every project is delivered successfully, on time, and to Bourne Group's standards.
This role differs from a traditional Project Manager in that it is client-focused and accountability-driven. Rather than managing technical execution, the Account Manager owns the client relationship and ensures the right people are doing the right things at the right time, preventing projects from going off track.
