Vertical Earth is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee heavy civil construction projects throughout Tennessee and surrounding markets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background managing transportation, roadway, bridge, site development, or infrastructure projects and possess direct experience working within the Tennessee construction market.
Preferred Location: North Georgia (commute to Cumming) or Tennessee
Position Summary
The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall administration, planning, execution, financial performance, and successful completion of construction projects. This individual will work closely with clients, subcontractors, field operations, and leadership to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple construction projects from award through closeout.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
- Coordinate with owners, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
- Review contracts, plans, specifications, and change orders.
- Monitor project costs and profitability.
- Lead project meetings and provide progress updates.
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements, quality standards, and safety programs.
- Support estimating and business development efforts as needed.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and challenges.
Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of Project Management experience in heavy civil construction.
- Prior or current experience managing projects within the Tennessee market.
- Experience with transportation, roadway, bridge, infrastructure, or site development projects.
- Working knowledge of TDOT specifications, standards, and procedures preferred.
- Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, cost control, and contract administration.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel as needed throughout Tennessee and surrounding areas.
