Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote early childhood development and learning.
- Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, and nap times to ensure safety and engagement.
- Support children with daily routines, including diapering, toileting, and personal hygiene, following health and safety protocols.
- Foster positive behavior management strategies to encourage cooperation and social skills among children.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, needs, and daily experiences to build strong partnerships.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that supports learning and safety standards.
- Follow mandated reporting laws and health guidelines diligently to ensure compliance and protect children's well-being.
Skills
- Experience working with young children in preschool or daycare settings, including toddler care.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and child supervision best practice
- Experience working with children in a classroom setting
- Strong classroom management skills combined with effective behavior management techniques.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while demonstrating patience, flexibility, and enthusiasm for early childhood education.
