We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Construction-Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance, operation, and improvement of our facilities. This role is vital in ensuring that our work environment remains safe, efficient, and compliant with industry standards. You will lead a team responsible for managing mechanical, electrical, and industrial systems, while driving projects that enhance facility performance. Your expertise will help optimize operations, reduce downtime, and support our commitment to excellence in our properties.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily facilities operations, including HVAC, electrical systems, low and high voltage equipment, and commercial maintenance activities.
- Supervise maintenance teams and external contractors to ensure timely completion of repairs and upgrades.
- Lead facility improvement projects from planning through execution, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and budget constraints.
- Maintain detailed schematics, technical diagrams, and electrical/mechanical schematics for all systems.
- Conduct inspections using tools and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards related to high voltage, low voltage, and commercial environments while fostering a culture of safety awareness among staff.
- Collaborate with management teams to minimize downtime by coordinating maintenance schedules with property needs.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment lifespan and improve operational reliability.
- Lead efforts in managing facilities management documentation, reports, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Qualifications
- Proven management experience in facilities management, project management
- Strong knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, HVAC systems, electrical wiring (including high voltage and low voltage), and mechanical systems.
- Demonstrated supervising experience with teams responsible for facilities or industrial systems.
- Ability to read technical schematics and electrical diagrams accurately.
- Familiarity with safety standards concerning high voltage, low voltage, public area standards.
- Excellent project management skills with a track record of leading successful facility improvement initiatives.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams and foster a safety-conscious work environment.
- Fluency in English is required for effective communication across teams and documentation purposes.
