The Medical Assistant supports the clinical team by providing direct patient care assistance for a pediatrics office, performing clinical and administrative duties, and ensuring efficient patient flow. This role requires accuracy, compassion, and strong interpersonal skills to assist both patients and providers.
- Prepare patients for examinations, record vital signs, and document medical history.
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Administer immunizations and medications as directed by providers.
- Ensure exam rooms are stocked, clean, and compliant with infection control standards.
- Support front office operations as needed to ensure smooth patient flow.
- Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic health record (EHR).
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- 1+ years of experience in a medical office setting strongly preferred.
- Experience working with Medicaid populations preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Minimum: $17/hour
Midpoint: $20/hour
Maximum: $23/hour
