Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver parcels and documents to various locations within scheduled routes
- Verify delivery addresses and ensure accurate receipt of packages with recipients
- Maintain detailed logs of deliveries, pickups, and route activities using GPS devices and delivery management software
- Handle heavy lifting of packages with care, ensuring items are secured during transit to prevent damage
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues promptly
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and security procedures during deliveries to ensure safety for yourself and others
- Manage conflict situations professionally when encountering difficult customers or delivery obstacles
Skills
- No prior experience in required.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Strong knowledge of GPS navigation systems and basic math skills for route planning and package calculations
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently; physical stamina is essential
- Excellent conflict management skills to handle challenging interactions calmly and professionally
- Understanding of security protocols and law enforcement procedures beneficial for maintaining safety during deliveries
