Class A CDL Driver
Experience Required: Minimum 1 year of Class A commercial driving experience
Minimum Age: 21 years
Position Purpose
Transport trailers and products safely and on time across regional routes while maintaining equipment in safe operating condition and complying with all transportation regulations.
Essential Functions & Duties
- Deliver products to customers on assigned routes while meeting delivery schedules and service expectations.
- Operate a commercial tractor-trailer in a safe, courteous, and professional manner.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Comply with all applicable Department of Transportation (DOT) laws and regulations.
- Safely operate commercial vehicles on public roadways.
- Load, move, stack, and palletize products for delivery when necessary.
- Transfer loaded trailers between yards and return empty trailers as required.
- Ensure trailers are properly loaded and ready for route departure.
- Utilize onboard computer systems for vehicle tracking and handheld devices for proof of delivery.
- Be willing to use company communication apps or devices for dispatch updates and operational communication.
- Maintain electronic logs (ELD) in full compliance with DOT regulations.
- Follow GPS routing and company dispatch instructions to ensure efficient and timely deliveries.
- Provide photos of equipment, loads, or delivery locations for safety or verification purposes when requested by management.
Truck Maintenance Responsibilities
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations.
- Report mechanical issues, safety concerns, or required repairs immediately.
- Maintain cleanliness of the tractor and trailer (interior and exterior).
- Monitor vehicle condition including fluid levels, tire pressure, and lighting systems.
- Complete required inspection reports, DVIRs, and driver logs accurately and on time.
- Coordinate necessary maintenance and repair services as needed.
Qualifications
Education & Certification
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
- Valid medical card as required by the FMCSA.
- Tanker endorsement (preferred).
- Hazmat endorsement (preferred).
Required Knowledge
- Basic understanding of DOT regulations and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with onboard truck tracking systems, ELD systems, and handheld delivery devices.
- Use of Telegram app
Experience
- Minimum of one (1) year of commercial driving experience.
Skills & Abilities
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds occasionally.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
