Growing industrial manufacturer is looking for an experienced Quality Manager.
The Quality Manager is responsible for leading the quality function to ensure products, processes, and systems meet internal standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory expectations. This role oversees quality systems, inspection and testing activities, corrective action, customer complaint response, and continuous improvement initiatives across a manufacturing environment. The Quality Manager partners closely with production, engineering, maintenance, supply chain, and leadership to strengthen quality performance, process discipline, and long-term operational reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead the day-to-day quality function, including quality personnel, inspection activities, testing practices, and system compliance to ensure products meet defined requirements.
· Establish, maintain, and improve quality procedures, inspection methods, control plans, sampling practices, and documentation standards for incoming, in-process, and finished products.
· Manage customer complaints, nonconformances, root cause investigations, corrective actions, and follow-up verification to ensure effective resolution.
· Oversee audits of quality systems and manufacturing processes, and support compliance with ISO, customer, and internal requirements.
· Partner with production and engineering teams to improve process capability, reduce defects, and strengthen control of key product and process characteristics.
· Develop and maintain process control methods, quality metrics, and reporting tools to monitor quality performance and identify improvement opportunities.
· Train and coach employees on quality standards, procedures, inspection expectations, and system requirements.
· Lead cross-functional problem-solving efforts related to scrap, rework, process deviations, customer issues, and recurring defects.
· Provide technical quality support to internal teams, suppliers, and customers as needed.
· Support supplier quality follow-up and review of incoming material issues when quality concerns affect production or customer requirements.
· Manage departmental resources, budget-related needs, and recommendations for quality equipment, gauges, and inspection tools.
· Promote a culture of accountability, prevention, process discipline, and continuous improvement across the organization.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in quality, engineering, manufacturing, industrial technology, or a
related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
· 5+ years of progressive experience in quality leadership within manufacturing, including responsibility for quality systems, corrective action, and cross-functional problem solving.
· Strong knowledge of quality systems, inspection methods, root cause analysis, corrective action, and process control practices.
· Working knowledge of engineering principles as they relate to product requirements, process capability, technical drawings, tolerances, and manufacturing problem solving.
· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, procedures, and customer requirements.
· Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality, ERP, or reporting systems.
Preferred Skills:
· Experience in ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949-certified manufacturing environments.
· Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.
Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
