Medical Technologist (PRN)
Stonewall Memorial Hospital District has been dedicated to providing compassionate healthcare to our community since 1965. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Technologist to join our laboratory team on a PRN basis, offering flexible coverage to support our laboratory operations as needed.
Key Responsibilities

Perform complex laboratory tests and analyses accurately and efficiently to support patient diagnosis and treatment.

Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and quality control of laboratory equipment.

Follow established protocols and safety procedures to maintain a safe and compliant laboratory environment.

Document test results accurately and communicate findings to medical staff in a timely manner.

Assist in troubleshooting technical issues and implementing process improvements.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of laboratory work areas.

Collect and process patient specimens following established protocols.

Maintain laboratory equipment and report any malfunctions.

Document and communicate test results promptly and accurately.

Comply with all regulatory standards, including CLIA and CAP requirements.

Assist in maintaining inventory of laboratory supplies.
Requirements:
Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in medical technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field.

Certification as a Medical Technologist (ASCP, AMT, or equivalent) preferred.

Proven experience performing laboratory tests in a clinical setting.

Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.

Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally for equipment or supply handling.

Good communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Knowledge of laboratory safety standards and quality assurance procedures.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.
