Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clarity and efficiency
- Process sales transactions smoothly, including cash handling and credit card payments via POS systems like OpenTable or other platforms
- Upsell menu items, including wines and spirits, to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining proper food handling and sanitation standards
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area to ensure a safe and inviting environment
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on wine, cocktails, spirits, and menu items to elevate the guest experience
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any special dietary needs or requests
- Support guest relations by addressing questions or concerns professionally, fostering a welcoming atmosphere
Experience
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant setting is highly preferred; fine dining experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms for sales processing
- Strong knowledge of beverage service including wine, spirits, cocktails, and beer
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively during busy service periods
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and handling cash safely
- Experience with food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Knowledge of restaurant operations including bussing, host/hostess duties, cashiering, and guest services
