District Manager – Anytime Fitness Elgin & Beverly
Anytime Fitness Elgin and Beverly are seeking an experienced, hands-on District Manager to lead the operations and performance of our two independently owned fitness clubs. This position will serve as the direct link between ownership and each club’s management team.
This is not a remote or desk-only management position. The District Manager must be highly visible in both clubs, actively coach employees, inspect operations, solve problems and hold the teams accountable for measurable results.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct leadership, coaching and accountability to Club Managers, Assistant Managers, Personal Training Managers, trainers and other club employees.
- Oversee membership sales, personal training revenue, small-group training, retention, collections and overall club profitability.
- Establish weekly and monthly performance goals for each club and ensure managers have clear action plans for achieving them.
- Monitor lead response times, calls, texts, emails, appointments, tours, follow-up activity and sales results through ClubOS and other company systems.
- Train employees on sales presentations, lead follow-up, member engagement, customer service and operational expectations.
- Recruit, interview, onboard, develop and evaluate employees.
- Address attendance, conduct and performance concerns promptly through coaching and proper documentation.
- Conduct frequent in-person visits and operational audits at both locations.
- Maintain high standards for cleanliness, equipment, safety, security, facility maintenance and the overall member experience.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, employee handbooks, membership procedures and Anytime Fitness brand standards.
- Review staffing schedules, payroll, expenses, vendor work and facility needs.
- Handle escalated member concerns, billing matters and employee issues professionally and consistently.
- Help develop local marketing, referral, community-outreach and member-retention initiatives.
- Provide ownership with a concise weekly scorecard covering membership sales, training revenue, leads, appointments, conversions, cancellations, collections, staffing and operational concerns.
- Provide hands-on leadership coverage when a club experiences a staffing shortage or management transition.
- Perform other leadership and operational responsibilities as required.
Required Qualifications
- At least three years of management, sales or multi-unit operational leadership experience.
- Demonstrated ability to lead managers, build accountable teams and improve business performance.
- Strong sales, coaching, communication, organization and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable reviewing performance reports, financial results and key business metrics.
- Able to have direct and professional accountability conversations with employees.
- Comfortable working with CRM, scheduling, membership-management and reporting systems.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and the ability to travel regularly between Elgin and Beverly-Chicago.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings or weekends when business needs require it.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous management experience in the fitness, membership, hospitality, retail or other sales-driven industry.
- Experience overseeing more than one business location.
- Experience with Anytime Fitness, ClubOS, ABC Fitness or similar systems.
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a strong plus.
Compensation and Schedule
- Full-time salaried position.
- Base salary of $55,000–$65,000 per year, based on qualifications and experience.
- Paid bi-weekly.
- Eligibility for a performance-based bonus tied to agreed membership, personal training, retention, collections and operational goals.
- Approved business travel between club locations will be reimbursed according to company policy.
