Responsibilities
- Scoop and serve a variety of ice cream flavors and toppings efficiently and accurately
- Provide friendly, attentive customer service to ensure an enjoyable experience for all guests
- Handle cash transactions using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, accurately processing payments and giving correct change
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including scooping stations, counters, and utensils in compliance with food safety standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as stocking supplies, preparing cones or cups, and managing inventory levels
- Upsell additional treats or beverages to enhance the customer experience and increase sales opportunities
- Support team members by bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and ensuring the overall cleanliness of the shop
Skills
- Previous experience in food preparation or food service environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for cash handling and sales transactions
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and energetic approach to engaging with guests
- Ability to manage time effectively in a quick service or fast food restaurant setting during busy hours
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and processing sales accurately
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Experience working in retail or grocery store environments is a plus but not necessary; adaptability and teamwork are essential
