Subsidiary: OmniSource Overview:
This position is responsible for loading, unloading, weighing, and tracking rail cars safely within the yard. Will require being able to operate multiple pieces of heavy equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Follow all safety policies and procedures

Operate a track mobile, material handler, and front-end loader

Use excel and e-mail to track rail cars and communicate with the rail department

Understand and track orders for rail shipment

Fill in at other yard positions as needed and time allows
Qualifications:
Required
-
Previous heavy equipment experience
-
Have ability to lift up to 50lbs on a repetitive basis.

Ability to work in all types of weather conditions.

Must have good verbal and written communication skills. .

A clear understanding and adherence to safety regulations.

Ability to work 1st shift hours w/OT and work on Saturdays.

Self-motivated, team player dedicated to the organization.

Ability to communicate effectively, including speaking clearly over a two-way radio.

Good decision-making skills in a fast paced, ever changing work environment.
Preferred

Knowledge of scrap is a plus.
