Experienced Upholsterer
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Preferred candidate to be familiar with industrial machines used in Upholstery.
- Preferred candidate should be strong in pattern making skills to create your own patterns per written instructions, able to work from existing patterns, and able work without patterns as needed.
- Preferred candidate should be able to to sculpt, carve, shape and cut foam as required.
- Preferred candidate should have strong problem solving skills, good basic math skills.
- Good organization and communication skills are a must.
- Responsible maintain work flow and to maintain upholstery inventory as needed and able to work with minimum supervision.
- Use and operate various sewing machines and related machinery for upholstery would be helpful.
- Ability to sew and match patterns, lines, etc. of finished product when needed.
- Read work orders and maintain data for production schedule and daily reporting
- Inspect sewing for consistency and quality.
- Achieve and maintain quality work standards
- Run product and machine to specification
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- The ability to sit or stand for up to 8 hours per day
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
- Previous experience preferred with Upholstery Cutting, Pattern Making and Fabrication.
- Compensation rate based upon experience. Willing to train right candidates for this position.
