Duties
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development for toddlers
- Supervise children closely to ensure safety and well-being at all times
- Foster positive behavior management strategies to encourage cooperation and independence
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and daily experiences
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that supports learning and safety standards
- Follow all mandated reporting laws and health protocols, including first aid and CPR procedures when necessary
- Collaborate with team members to develop individualized care plans for children with special needs or disabilities
Requirements
- Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and child supervision best practices
- Certification in first aid, pediatric first aid, CPR, and child safety procedures required or willing to obtain upon hire
- Experience working with children with disabilities or in special education settings is a plus
- Strong classroom management skills combined with patience and positive reinforcement techniques
- Ability to communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and children from diverse backgrounds
- Familiarity with early childhood education standards, behavior management strategies, and caregiving practices

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
