Position Summary
OMNI Health Services is seeking Certified Peer Specialists (CPS) to join our team in Allentown. The Certified Peer Specialist will use their own lived experience with mental health recovery to engage, inspire, and support clients in achieving their recovery goals. This role involves providing peer support services in community and home-based settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide peer mentoring and support to individuals with mental health challenges.
- Assist clients in developing recovery goals and accessing community resources.
- Model effective coping skills and promote self-advocacy.
- Collaborate with clinical staff and participate in team meetings.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided.
- Travel is expected to meet clients in various community locations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
- Must have successfully completed a Pennsylvania Certified Peer Specialist training program and hold a current CPS certification.
- Lived experience with mental health recovery and a strong commitment to helping others.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel as needed.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
