Any Baby Can is a leader and partner in parent education, family health and child development programs in Central Texas. Any Baby Can, a Central Texas nonprofit, partners with families to overcome obstacles and achieve well-being. With programs that meet clients where they are – at home, work, or school – Any Baby Can helps build stability, develop skills, and navigate systems, so children and families reach their full potential. Camp Grey Dove is Any Baby Can’s sleepaway summer camp for siblings of children diagnosed with cancer or health care needs. Camp Grey Dove provides a space where these children can put their own needs first, combining traditional summer fun with professional emotional support.
Position Summary:
Any Baby Can has a current opening for a camp nurse position for Camp Grey Dove.
- The camp will be held from July 26th to July 31st, 2026.
- This is a one-week temporary position.
- Selected candidates will be required to attend a mandatory 1-hour orientation on July 11 and complete an additional 1-hour self-paced Child Abuse Prevention course.

The camp location is at Camp For All in Burton, Texas.
- The nurse will be transported from the Any Baby Can main building in Austin in a charter bus to and from the camp location in Burton, Texas.
- The nurse is required to live and work at the campsite the whole week.
- The nurse will be provided with all meals, a camp T-shirt, living quarters next to the nurse's clinic.

Dress code is sporty as many camp activities are outdoors.
- The nurse will be provided with a golf cart for transportation in the camp facilities, and communication equipment during camp week.
- Compensation will be a one-time payment of $2,000 for the week.
Key Responsibilities:

Monitor health conditions of campers, camp counselors, and staff.

Review all camper medical histories and do a preliminary assessment of all campers on arrival.

Responsible for the dispensation of medicine as prescribed by a physician, or OTC as allowed by parents/guardians.

Responsible for maintaining proper charts and logs of all incidents, accidents, and dispensed medications at Camp.

Communicate directly with parents regarding camper's health.

Present general medical information to staff at orientation and actively participate in staff training, meetings, etc.

Aware of emergency procedures and prepared to act if warranted.

Maintain communication with staff in the event of an emergency.
Experience and Qualifications:

Licensed Nurse or Registered Nurse with an active license.

CPR Certification.
-
American Red Cross Community First Aid and Safety certificate.

AED.
-
Experience with children/adolescents.
-
Valid driver's license.
