About the Opportunity
The Conductive Education Center of Orlando (CECO) is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated professional to support adults with physical and neurological disabilities as they work toward greater independence, self-confidence, and community participation.
This full-time position focuses on developing and leading meaningful activities that promote daily living skills, social engagement, vocational development, and personal growth within our Adult Program.

Ideal Candidate
- At least two years of experience working with adults who have disabilities or support needs
- Background in special education, human services, rehabilitation, social services, adaptive recreation, or related fields
- Experience implementing individualized supports and goal-based programming
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Certification as a DSP or related credential is beneficial but not required
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and lead activities that promote independence, life management, vocational exploration, and community involvement
- Assist participants in working toward personal goals and increased self-sufficiency
- Track participant progress and maintain required documentation
- Coordinate with conductors, therapists, assistants, and other staff to ensure high-quality programming
- Mentor support staff and provide guidance regarding participant needs and daily activities
- Create an encouraging and inclusive environment that supports participant success
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities throughout the day
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Creative approach to participant engagement and program planning
- Comfortable with documentation systems and basic computer applications
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and remain active throughout the day
- Ability to assist with participant mobility and transfers when necessary
- Ability to safely lift up to 40 pounds
- Comfortable supporting personal care needs as required
- Ability to participate in both indoor and community-based activities
