Overview / About the Family
A warm, active family in Sherborn is seeking a dependable, energetic part-time afterschool nanny for their two children, ages 6 and 11. Both parents work from home on most days but keep a hands-off approach — they set clear expectations up front and then give their nanny the space to run the afternoon confidently. The right fit brings warmth, patience, and a good sense of humor, loves being outdoors, and knows how to keep kids engaged while gently reinforcing structure and good habits.
The nanny will arrive ahead of the children to handle a few household tasks, then be a steady, welcoming presence as the kids transition home from school. Afternoons include homework help, reading and math practice (especially with the younger child), library trips, outdoor play, and driving to local activities. The parents travel for work occasionally and will always give advance notice; on those occasions, a little added flexibility (around 30 minutes) is appreciated.
Benefits: one week paid vacation, 2 sick days, 2 personal days, 3 paid holidays, gas stipend for work-related driving
