Job description:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and works well under pressure. You’ll be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes with consistency, speed, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
· Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards using local ingredients whenever possible.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the station and kitchen area
- Work efficiently during high-volume service with a sense of urgency
- Assist with prep, inventory, and other kitchen duties
- Collaborate closely with other kitchen staff and follow direction from the Sous Chef and Executive Chef
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are upheld at all times
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of line cook experience, preferably in a fast paced or high-volume restaurant
· Strong attention to detail
- Strong knife skills and understanding of various cooking techniques
- Ability to multitask and stay organized under pressure
- Must be team-oriented, dependable, and punctual
- Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
Working Conditions:
· Ability to withstand exposure to extreme temperatures in the kitchen working environment, ranging from 0 to 120 degrees, from hot kitchen environments to cold storage areas.
· Regular handling of food allergens, cleaning chemicals, and kitchen equipment.
· Ability to work in a busy, noisy, and sometimes crowded kitchen environment with frequent physical activity including bending, stooping, and climbing.
· Ability to visually inspect, taste and smell product to ensure freshness and quality.
· Ability to communicate effectively with associates, management, clients and team members when necessary.
· Ability to work a flexible and changing schedule including long shifts, weekends, and holidays, depending on and to accommodate business levels.
