Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced CAD Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing professional survey maps, site plans, and related drawings in support of our licensed surveyors. This is a full-time, in-office position ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in land surveying drafting.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare survey plats, boundary maps, topographic maps, and site plans from field data
- Draft legal descriptions and easement documents
- Process and plot field data using AutoCAD and Carlson Survey
- Coordinate with licensed surveyors to ensure accuracy and completeness of deliverables
- Maintain organized digital and physical project files
- Meet project deadlines while upholding quality standards
Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years of CAD drafting experience in a land surveying environment
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Carlson Survey software
- Ability to read and interpret field notes, survey data, and legal descriptions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with boundary surveys, ALTA/NSPS surveys, and topographic surveys
- Familiarity with state and local platting requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Surveying Technology, or a related field

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
