Job Overview
The Transportation Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing and optimizing the transportation processes within our organization. Under the direction of the Center Manager or designee, the Transportation Coordinator ensures timely and efficient use of participant transportation to and from Kinship PACE facilities and other providers as arranged by Kinship. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a keen attention to detail, contributing to the overall efficiency of our transportation operations.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates transportation for all participant transportation-related needs, including to/from the PACE Center, to/from inside and outside medical appointments, and following hospital/SNF discharges, etc.
- Reconciles attendance reports with transportation bills and reports discrepancies.
- Develops and maintains transportation routes and dispatches drivers.
- Maintains a log of all transportation appointments. Document all transportation requests in different systems as needed.
- Follows up on all transportation-related incident reports and daily center no-shows.
- Discusses daily issues with the Center Manager.
- Ensure drivers are doing daily inspections on vehicles.
- Performs random check-ups of the participant’s arrivals and their interactions with the drivers. Monitors driver’s on-time arrival rate
- Participate as a member of the IDT, attend morning meeting and report changes in participants’ baseline status to appropriate staff.
- Supervises drivers
- Ensures vehicle maintenance and repairs are occurring timely
- Performs random inspections of vehicles and maintains documentation of all safety inspections.
- Attends and participates in staff meetings, in-services, projects and committees as assigned.
- Ensure smooth, positive customer experience across all touchpoints for stakeholders and participants.
- Performs driving and other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Associates degree or equivalent transportation management experience.
- Clearance through AHCA/Fingerprinting (https://info.flclearinghouse.com)
- At least one (1) year working with the elderly population is required.
- Valid Driver’s License in good standing.
- Clean MVR record required.
