Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced, highly organized, and detail-oriented Project Manager with prior experience in the lighting industry to join our team. This position is responsible for coordinating projects from concept through completion while serving as the primary liaison between Purchasing, Product Development, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and other departments.
The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of lighting products and manufacturing processes, is able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and can effectively communicate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed accurately, on time, and in accordance with company standards.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Serve as the central point of coordination between Purchasing, Product Development, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and other departments.
- Enter new projects into the company's project management system accurately and promptly.
- Review all project information for accuracy, completeness, and compliance before projects move to the next stage.
- Identify, document, and follow up on missing information, approvals, specifications, drawings, product data, testing requirements, and other project deliverables.
- Manage projects from initial entry through completion, ensuring milestones, priorities, and deadlines are met.
- Monitor project schedules and proactively communicate project status, risks, delays, and required actions to stakeholders.
- Coordinate the seamless transfer of project information between departments to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Schedule and facilitate project meetings, document action items, and follow up to ensure timely completion.
- Work closely with engineering and product development teams to resolve project issues and maintain project timelines.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, records, reports, and project tracking throughout each phase.
- Ensure all project documentation complies with company standards and established procedures.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve project workflows, communication, and operational efficiency.
- Support management with project reporting, forecasting, and prioritization.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of Project Management or Project Coordination experience in the lighting industry is required.
- Strong knowledge of commercial or architectural lighting products, product development, manufacturing processes, and project lifecycle management.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and time-management skills.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Experience with ERP systems and project management software is strongly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- Experience working with custom or specification-grade lighting products.
- Knowledge of engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), product specifications, and change management processes.
- Familiarity with UL, DLC, Energy Star, or other lighting industry standards is a plus.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Pay: Starting $65k per year
