Summary: Jamie O'Brien School of Surf is a new surf and retail concept in the heart of Waikiki located on Kalakaua Avenue in The Twin Fin Waikiki that launched in December 2023. We believe in creating an authentic and premium environment for our team at the best ocean front hotels in the world. We are dedicated to providing the best surf experience possible for our guests, we don't take short cuts, and we believe in doing things the right way. Jamie O'Brien School of Surf is looking to hire a full time Retail Supervisor for our location at the Twin Fin Waikiki.
If you're a skilled and enthusiastic water enthusiast with prior experience in instruction and customer service, we'd love to hear from you. Our ideal candidates should be based or living near Waikiki and bring a high level of energy and a deep passion for the ocean.
As part of our team, you will become heart of our retail program and the custodian of our amazing guests and team. Your primary responsibilities will be to manage and handle a skilled team that focuses on tasks such as conducting high volume of beach rentals, upsell ing premium add ons, and drive incremental retail/merchandise sales to our diverse group of customers form all over the world. This is a brand new store build with top of the line fixtures, technologies, and merchandise, and it will be all yours to leverage for success!

Key Responsibilities:
- Assists management in running the retail store, ensuring it's well-stocked, organized, and visually appealing.
- Assist in leading a team of sales associates, providing guidance, training, and motivation.
- Carry out sales and marketing strategies to drive revenue, provide by your managers
- Maintain an exceptional level of customer service and build lasting relationships with our students, guests and teammates.
- Collaborate with the surf instructors to promote surf gear and experiences.
- Create a fun, welcoming, and inspiring atmosphere for our customers.
Requirements:
- Previous retail experience (preferably as a supervisor or team lead)
- Passion for surfing and ocean culture.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Adept at problem-solving and decision-making.
- Flexible schedule to accommodate the surf school's hours.
- Knowledge of surf gear and industry trends is a plus.
COMPENSATION
- Hourly (Depends on Experience + Commitment)
- Part-time and full-time schedules available
