Project Engineer – Robotic Automation Systems
We’re working with an industry leader in robotic turnkey system integration looking to add a Project Engineer to their growing automation team.
This role is all about owning the form, fit, and function of high-tech robotic systems — from mechanical and pneumatic design to simulation, safety assessments, and overseeing third-party equipment builds.
You’ll work cross-functionally with project managers, designers, and manufacturing teams to bring advanced automation projects to life.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Support project proposals and customer kick-offs with technical input
- Develop 3D simulations and detailed technical specs
- Oversee mechanical design and component selection
- Lead risk assessments and equipment buyoffs
- Own documentation, system functionality, and run-off criteria
- Support customer installation, testing, and debug onsite
- Serve as the link between engineering, manufacturing, and the customer throughout the entire project lifecycle
What You’ll Need:
- Background in mechanical or process engineering
- Experience designing and integrating robotic or automated systems
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, SolidWorks
- Comfortable in both office and shop floor settings — some travel to customer sites
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to juggle technical demands with deadlines
- Experience with reliability tools like FMEA, Root Cause, OEE, etc. is a bonus
This is a hands-on, project-driven role for someone who thrives in an engineering environment and wants to see their work come to life on the shop floor and in the field.
