Duties
- Perform comprehensive bicycle repairs including brake adjustments, suspension servicing, gear tuning, and mechanical system repairs using hand tools and power tools.
- Conduct symptom-based mechanical diagnosis to identify issues quickly and accurately.
- Assemble new bicycles from parts, ensuring proper mechanical assembly and safety standards are met.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance work, and parts used using POS (Point of Sale) systems.
- Assist customers with bicycle maintenance advice, product recommendations, and retail sales to enhance their cycling experience.
- Handle heavy lifting of bicycles and parts safely during repair and maintenance tasks.
- Conduct routine vehicle (bike) maintenance to ensure optimal performance across all mechanical systems.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a service technician or bicycle mechanic with strong mechanical knowledge.
- Familiarity with suspension systems, brake repair, and symptom-based diagnosis techniques.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment for repairs and assembly.
- Experience with retail sales processes and POS systems is preferred.
- Knowledge of bicycle components, mechanical systems repair, and assembly procedures.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely during maintenance work.
- Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Prior experience with maintenance, repair operations (MRO), vehicle maintenance, or cycling-related roles is highly desirable.
