Position Overview
The Shipping & Receiving Team Members are a critical link in delivering our products to our customers error free and on time. You will be responsible for using your judgement in designing and creating shipping packages that will ensure our glass and mirror products arrive to our customers safely. You will work with the Shipping Supervisor, Project Managers, and Crating to prepare and ship our products on time. You will assist the Shipping Supervisor with daily tasks such as keeping the dock and staging areas clean and organized.
Responsibilities
· Review daily schedule and ship according to the plan.
· Communicate and update coworkers and managers on job progress & completion
· Build and load crates for projects and assist when needed.
· Pull, compile, and rack bulk outbound glass for our customers.
· Act as a quality check for all products shipped to the customers.
· Sort glass on dock and keep racks organized.
· Load and unload trucks and assist in securing loads.
· Prep, scan, and load racks for Engineered Job Site Deliveries and shipments.
· Sort, prep, inventory, and load pallets of Engineered Hardware for project shipments.
· Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
· High School degree or equivalent
· Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical.
· - The ability to lift 100 lbs on a consistent basis
· - The ability to work in teams
· - Experience moving straight trucks and box trucks throughout the yard
· - Reliable transportation
· - Fene Vision experience is a plus, willing to train
· - Previous experience working night shift
· - Able and willing to work 45+ hours a week
· - Mechanically incline is a plus, willing to train
Job Type: Full-time
Shift Schedule: Sunday-Thursday 8:00pm start time.
This team is critical to getting our truck out on time.
Hourly employees are eligible for a Quality/Attendance/Safety bonus.
Third Shift employees are eligible for a $2.00 shift premium
