Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Foreman to lead and oversee electrical construction projects within the commercial and residential sectors. This dynamic role requires a proactive leader with extensive experience managing electrical crews, coordinating construction schedules, and ensuring safety compliance on site. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, construction management software, and safety regulations, enabling them to deliver projects efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.
Duties
- Lead and supervise electrical crews on construction sites, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and according to plans and specifications
- Review construction drawings, blueprints, and technical documents to interpret electrical layouts and requirements accurately
- Coordinate project schedules using construction management software to meet deadlines and optimize resource allocation
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor safety practices in compliance with OSHA and federal construction safety regulations
- Oversee quality control processes, including testing electrical systems with tools such as ohmmeters and ensuring adherence to project specifications
- Ensure all work complies with local codes, regulations, and safety standards
- Supervise the review of construction drawings for accuracy and clarity; interpret technical drawings for team implementation
- Facilitate construction schedule coordination across multiple trades to ensure seamless project flow
- Maintain detailed documentation of daily activities, safety incidents, inspections, and project milestones
Experience
- Proven experience in managing electrical construction projects within commercial or residential settings
- Extensive background in supervising teams in a construction management role with demonstrated leadership capabilities
- Proficiency in construction management software such as Bluebeam, ProCore, or equivalent tools
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading, technical drawing interpretation, and construction scheduling techniques
- Familiarity with OSHA standards as well as federal and local construction safety regulations
- Hands-on experience with construction site operations including safety management, quality control, and crew supervision
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of safety and quality
- Excellent communication skills for effective management of teams, clients, and stakeholders
- Knowledge of managing schedules and budgets within the electrical scope of construction projects
