Description:
Reports directly to Warehouse Manager, or assigned leadership. Drives material, supplies or dumpster to jobsites; Materials Driver/Material Handler supports warehouse operations and field logistics by receiving, organizing, and delivering materials and equipment to job sites. This role ensures timely and accurate handling of materials, maintains warehouse cleanliness and safety, and assists with inventory and equipment management. The position requires a proactive, safety-conscious individual with basic construction knowledge and strong organizational skills..
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations
- Identify and report damaged, missing, or incorrect items.
- Process returns to vendors (e.g., Home Depot) as directed.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Assist with tracking and organizing warehouse inventory and IBI owed tools
Material Handling & Delivery
- Load, transport, and unload materials, supplies, and dumpsters to/from job sites.
- Ensure materials are delivered to the correct location on-site.
- Perform jobsite and container cleanouts as requested.
Equipment & Vehicle Maintenance
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment safely.
- Maintain cleanliness and report maintenance needs for all vehicles and equipment.
- Assist with inspections and upkeep of tools, ladders, carts, fire extinguishers, etc.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and safe driving habits.
- Basic knowledge of construction materials and tools.
- Ability to research materials and products online.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials safely.
- Professional demeanor and ability to represent IBI Inc. positively with clients and vendors.
- Ability to represent IBI Inc. and our Clients in a professional and respectful manner at all times to ensure company quality, policies, procedures, and compliance to all applicable contracts, laws and regulations.
Physical Demands:
Position performance will require the regular physical ability, climb ladders and scaffolding, frequent ability to sit, walk, hear, stand, climb, stoop and kneel. Employee may have to lift and/or move up to60 pounds.
Work Environment:
Performing the duties, the employee will regularly be in at the warehouse and an on-site construction environment where they may be exposed to moving mechanical components and equipment, high and sub grade places, fumes and/or airborne particles, weather conditions, and electrical systems. The noise of the environments is often moderate to very loud.
