Job Responsibilities:

Demonstrates the ability to adapt techniques /treatment to age of population served, including newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients, while providing care/service with respect to cultural differences and spiritual needs.

Acquires and maintains current knowledge of healthcare quality, performance improvement, and regulatory compliance methodologies.

In partnership with the physician and nursing leaders, acts as a subject matter expert in quality, performance improvement, and regulatory compliance.

Establishes and maintains an effective working relationship with frontline staff, leaders, and providers.
-
Reviews and interprets standards, guidelines, and other information from a wide variety of sources to identify best practices and develop evidence-based recommendations. Summarizes the results of this review for stakeholders.

Gathers, reviews, and systematically evaluates the quality and effectiveness of the clinical care by reviewing and analyzing data from a variety of sources. Establishes and maintains effective and respectful communication in development of all collaborative relationships.

Reports data and outcomes to a variety of stakeholders, tailoring the content and delivery to each audience accordingly
-
Facilitates performance improvement activities.

Rounds on units to evaluate for compliance to regulatory standards and identify opportunities for quality improvement in collaboration with unit leaders, staff, and providers.

Performs all other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in nursing or healthcare-related field

Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Ability to learn and adapt to dynamic situations.
Preferred Qualifications:

Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ)Prior experience in a performance improvement, quality, or project-management role. Education, training, and/or experience in performance improvement methodologies (i.e., Plan-Do-Study-Act, Six Sigma/Lean, etc.).
