Creativa Academy is seeking a passionate, energetic, and nurturing VPK Lead Teacher to join our team. We are looking for someone who loves working with children, values early childhood education, and creates a warm and engaging classroom environment.
Full Time schedule Monday–Friday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (year-round)
Duties
- Develop and implement dynamic lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy and math.
- Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration, social interaction, and emotional well-being
- Manage daily classroom activities, behavior, and routines to ensure a productive learning atmosphere
- Collaborate with families and colleagues to support individual learning needs and promote child welfare
- Incorporate special education strategies and early intervention techniques to support children with diverse learning requirements
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress reports, and lesson plans in compliance with state regulations
Requirements
- DCF 45 hours training completed
- CDA, FCCPC, Associate’s Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, or staff credentials qualifying for Florida VPK instruction
- Prior experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings; classroom management skills are essential
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management strategies, and early intervention practices
- Familiarity with curriculum development, literacy education and math instruction.
- Experience with standardized testing procedures and tutoring methods suitable for young learners
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members
- Ability to work well in a team environment while demonstrating patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching young children
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
