Join our dynamic team as a Forklift Operator and become a vital part of our fast-paced warehouse environment! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of heavy equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks, clamp trucks, and Hi-Lo forklifts, to efficiently load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse. Your expertise will ensure smooth warehouse distribution processes, accurate order picking, and seamless shipping and receiving operations. Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklift equipment such as lift trucks, reach trucks, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and Hi-Lo forklifts to load and unload shipments.
- Conduct materials handling tasks with precision to ensure accurate order picking and inventory management.
- Assist with warehouse management system (WMS) entries to track inventory movements and order statuses.
- Perform routine equipment repairs and maintenance checks to keep machinery in optimal condition.
- Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing products on pallets or racks for storage or shipment.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards by following proper lifting techniques and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize storage space and improve overall workflow efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, clamp trucks, or Hi-Lo forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs or troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and order picker operations.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations related to materials handling and heavy equipment operation.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts, weight measurements, and load balancing.
- Excellent physical stamina for heavy lifting, load & unload tasks, and extended periods of standing or walking.
