Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Dishwasher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen, ensuring all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This role is vital to supporting food safety, smooth kitchen operations, and providing an excellent dining experience for our guests. Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is a plus, but a strong work ethic and attention to detail are essential.
Duties
- Operate dishwashing equipment and manual cleaning stations to thoroughly clean dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans
- Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to ensure all items meet health standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic chopping or assembly
- Handle heavy lifting of supplies and equipment safely in accordance with kitchen health and safety standards
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to sanitation protocols
- Assist in maintaining proper storage of clean items and ensuring proper disposal of waste
Qualifications
- Prior food service or restaurant experience preferred; familiarity with food handling and sanitation standards is a plus
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds)
- Strong attention to detail in cleaning and sanitation procedures
- Ability to operate dishwashing machines and other kitchen equipment safely
- Good organizational skills with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable work ethic with a focus on cleanliness, safety, and teamwork
