Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Insurance and Treatment Plan Coordinator to join our dynamic dental practice team. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary liaison between patients, insurance providers, and our clinical staff to ensure seamless insurance processing, accurate billing, and effective communication. Responsibilities
- Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility using electronic health records (EHR) systems and insurance portals.
- Obtain prior authorization for dental procedures by communicating with insurance companies and managing required documentation.
- Review and process insurance claims, ensuring accurate CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) coding, ICD (International Classification of Diseases) coding (ICD-9, ICD-10), and medical/dental billing procedures.
- Manage accounts receivable by following up on unpaid claims, denials, or discrepancies to maximize collections.
- Maintain comprehensive medical records while ensuring compliance with HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) regulations and clinical confidentiality policies.
- Assist patients with understanding their dental insurance benefits, coverage limitations, and out-of-pocket costs through excellent customer service.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure all documentation aligns with health insurance policies and managed care requirements.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of health insurance policies, managed care processes, and dental insurance procedures.
- Proficiency in EAGLESOFT software including Microsoft Office suite, and electronic health records management tools.
- Experience with Dental coding including CDT coding
- Familiarity with insurance verification processes, prior authorization procedures, and claims submission workflows.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex insurance information clearly and professionally.
- Understanding of clinical confidentiality policies such as HIPAA to safeguard patient information at all times.
- Prior experience working in a dental office environment is highly preferred; knowledge of medical and dental terminology is essential for accuracy in documentation.

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
